Eastern North Carolina medical center with eighteen rural health sites has an immediate need for a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic seeing all age groups from newborns to geriatrics. This rural health clinic, housed inside the local health department, sees patients of all socio-economic backgrounds. Scope of practice includes everything from well-baby exams and family planning to diabetes management. See 15-25 patients per day. Hours are Mon & Thur 8AM-6PM, Tue & Wed 8AM-5PM and Fri 8AM-1PM. No nights, weekends or on-call. In nearby New Bern, NC, you’ll find Tryon Palace, spectacular gardens, historic homes, quaint shops, cozy restaurants and lively entertainment frame downtown streets. Further south, you can enjoy MCAS Cherry Point and the 157,000 acre Croatan National Forest, nationally recognized for its trails and recreation opportunities. Salary range $65-80K plus health, dental, life, CME and vacation.
